Psychosocial Trainers (2-3 persons) for 6 months with possibility of extension
Based at Kathmandu but has to spend 50-60% time in the field.

Scope of Work

The Psychosocial Trainer’s primary role is to provide psychosocial Training( CPSW training, 6 month’s counseling training and other modular psychosocial intervention trainings) to the community workers, development workers and NGO partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review existing curriculum (CPSW training manual, 6 month’s training manual, CBI manual, basic psychosocial orientation manual and social cohesiveness manual).
• Develop new curriculum and manual for modular trainings such as Substance abuse, Gender and sexual violence, community resiliency group, peer support group and community based psychosocial intervention.
• Select potential candidates for training
• Prepare lessons plans for each training session
• Facilitate community orientations and longer term psychosocial trainings
• Conduct Training of Trainers (TOT) courses as needed.
• Prepare professional training reports in English
• Manage logistics for the training.
• Perform any other training related assignments as directed by the management.

REPORTS TO: Project Coordinator for direct supervision; Clinical Advisor for clinical supervision.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Required
• BA in Social Science ( Preferably in Psychology)
• 6 months psychosocial counseling training
• 2-3 years professional experiences as Psychosocial Trainer and psychosocial counselor.
• At least one Psychosocial Training of Trainers (TOT) of more than 2 weeks duration.
• Excellent training facilitation skills.
• Excellent report writing skills in English.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and Nepali
• Willingness to be based in the field for more than 50% time.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

Preferred
• 4 years experiences in providing psychosocial trainings
• Experience of training different groups of people.
• Knowledge of/experience in community based approach to psychosocial care
• Post graduate Diploma in counseling psychology or MA in Psychology.
• Strong facilitation and training skills

Salary range: 16,000-22,000 depending up on the experiences
