Post Title: Capacity Building Officer

Collective Campaign for Peace (COCAP) is a national network of 44 human rights and peace non¬governmental organizations located in 29 districts of Nepal. It has been working in the field of human rights and peace since 2001. It aims to provide a common space for its members, volunteers and friends to collectively engage in the pursuit for peace, human rights and justice in Nepal. COCAP seeks application from energetic, experienced, self-motivated and qualified Nepali citizens for the following position.

Duration: One year with possible extension
Salary: NRs. 27,000.00 per month
Duty Station: Kathmandu (with frequent visits to regions and districts)


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct organizational assessment of COCAP and its member organizations, and design necessary organizational development plan
• Conduct training need assessment (TNA) and carry out impact assessment.
• Facilitate trainings, workshops and seminars
• Develop human resource development plan and implementing mechanisms.
• Develop monitoring tools and techniques
• Develop proposals and write reports
• Conduct research activities
• Produce training and reading materials.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 3 years of working experience covering the above-mentioned responsibilities
• Masters degree in social science or any other related field
• Strong command on spoken and written Nepali and English languages (Counterpart will be foreigner)
• Familiar with finance and budgeting
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
• Sound knowledge on conflict management and peace building, advocacy and lobbying, human rights, social security, transitional justice, and democracy.
